Recycled Pumpkin
(A city employee received this call from a resident the day after Halloween.)
Resident: “The garbage collectors didn’t take all my garbage this morning. They left my pumpkin.”
City employee: “Well, sir, where did you leave the pumpkin for collection?”
Resident: “In my recycling bin.”
City employee: “Well, that’s why they didn’t take it. You need to put it in your garbage can.”
Resident: “But you can recycle a pumpkin!”
City employee: “Sir, what do you think they are going to recycle your pumpkin into?”
Resident: “PIE!”
